Falling Into A Good Book

Chosen by iRead Book Tours. I have to say I was unsure at first when I began reading that I was going to be into the story but I became hooked. It begins with the murder of Annalisse’s best friend and continues with another death and the suspicion of a cursed necklace. I have wanted to read this for some time now. As soon as I saw it’s now becoming a major motion picture I had to get immediately and start reading.  I’m not a fan of books being made into movies and I absolutely hate book covers that are changed to the movie adaptations. With all that said, I purchased the book with its original cover! Yes, a win for me.  And I must say I was hooked from the beginning. The characters are so intricate that you immediately feel as if you have known them your whole life and I’m not even Asian.  I love learning about people and other cultures and this book offered so much information regarding not just their culture but their family dynamics and friendships.  This is a MUST read. I will definitely be purchasing the other two books. I can’t wait to find what happens next amongst the sagas in their lives.  

Wow!! That's all I can say or think right now. I just finished this book, LEGENDARY,  about 15 minutes ago and I'm still reeling emotionally from it. Have you ever been on an amusement park ride and it's so thrilling while you're on it that when the the ride is over, you're still feeling the excitement and you wish it hadn't ended? Or that it wasn't long enough? So you get back in line to ride that wave of true exhilaration again. Well, that is EXACTLY how I am feeling after reading LEGENDARY by Stephanie Garber. Her writing is so descriptive and it speaks to you so much that you become enmeshed with the characters. You become the characters and become a part of their world! If you want a story that gives you a thrill of a ride full of magic and mystery and in depth characters, this is the book for you. I can't wait for the next one!!! WOW WOW WOW!!!! I’m not even sure where to begin. I was completely swept away with this book and it had me from the first sentence. I had trouble putting it down. The story completely sucks you in and you become a part of CARAVAL. You lose all sense of reality and enter a world full of twists and turns and you try to make sense what is real vs a game. You don’t know who to trust and you just keep guessing until the final page.  I definitely have to say that this may be my favorite fantasy fiction ever and it is a MUST MUST MUST read!!!! This is a great fictional story from the perspective of what life may have been like behind the walls of Hitler.  The story takes place during the height of Hitler’s regime and a young woman who was chosen to be one of the many ‘tasters’ of his food and drink due to his ongoing fear of being poisoned.  If you want to sample a taste of what life may have been like behind his walls then this is the book for you. 

A story with comedic tones involving an eccentric, quirky family with a workaholic father, a mother assumed to be insane and a child prodigy who is just trying to fit in and all three trying to deal and fend off those nosy neighbors who can spread gossip faster than someone can spread butter on their toast. The story is told from many different viewpoints and you become entangled in each characters lives and you begin to acclimate to each of their personalities. And just when you think you may have figured things out, a mystery unfolds and you don't want to put it down until the end. This is a great fun, loving story full of quirky characters full of so much personality that you can't help but relate to them.

The House on Harbor HIll is a great fictional drama telling the story of three lives brought together by escaping their past and present with the hopes of a better future. Through divine intervention their lives become intertwined and their demons and secrets are exposed. When their bonds are put to the test, will their newfound friendships survive, or will they succumb to the darkness that brought them together. I highly reommend the House on Harbor Hill because once you start, you won't want to put it down.

This was a magnificently written piece of historical fiction with truthful elements and recollections of World War II and a glimpse of the horror and terror brought on by Hitler and his regime. It tells a tale of two sisters and the life they lived full of angst, heartache, and love but most of all survival. This is a MUST read. A ‘must read’ when the words on the pages become blurry and distorted as you try to hold back the tears! 💕

I completely fell in love with this book. The characters were so real and had so much depth that I felt like I once knew them at one point in time in which we shared a part of each other’s worlds.  Their struggle wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, in fact I’m sure many could relate to the periods of times when the family was faced with periods of trials and tribulations and moments of peace and happiness.  It’s a roller coaster and you’re not sure which part is going to be the climb towards that ‘happily ever after’ or the fall to that something that’s just lurking under the surface ready to upheave whatever happiness they may have found.  You can’t help but feel the pain and struggles that each character is faced with and the vast love they have for one another. But is that vast love a gift? Or is it like an anchor pulling you down with the fear of never being able to reach the surface. And maybe it’s just about holding on to ‘hope’ for a better tomorrow and a better future. The on
